Utah's Fire Arts Festival takes place annually at Bonneville Sea Base.

YEAR 10
2011 is our Ten Year Anniversary at Sea Base and we're celebrating in zeros and ones. It's all about everything... and nothing, beginning & ending, form & emptiness, alpha & omega...
Element 11 is a Regional Burning Man event. We adhere to the Ten Principles of Burning Man http://www.burningman.com/whatisburningman/about_burningman/principles.html.
RADICAL SELF-RELIANCE meets COMMUNITY and PARTICIPATION You must come prepared to camp in the West Desert of Utah (salt flats) for four days, bringing your own food, water, shelter and art. Participation is key - we are a community produced event - no spectators! Bring costumes! Give a performance! Think of a theme and decorate your camp and / or car! Erase the mundane and let your creativity loose! Just remember to leave the feather boas, tinsel and other things that shed at home... these create M.O.O.P. (Matter Out Of Place) which is a fancy term for 'it was pretty but now it's garbage.' If you think it might fall of or tear away in the wind - please don't bring it with you...
Element 11 is a LEAVE NO TRACE event - there are NO trash cans and you will be expected to bring trash bags and pack out your own trash. One quick trick, don't bring it with you - for example, take your toothbrush out of the packaging and throw that cardboard in the recycling at home...
